IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of the sites have really wonderful animated structures. To view, download the Netscape 4.8 web browser (tools, browser central, product archives, Versions 4.7X and 4.8, 4.8 english netscape communicator) then download CHIME. Install AFTER you close all web browsers, then select Netscape 4.8 as the web browser directory for CHIME to register. CHIME does not work with Netscape 6 or above, and there is a glitch in Internet Explorer. CHIME is free though you have to register. It is professional software that works on both Mac and PC computers. For other sites,you will need Shockwave, another free download. The web page will tell you if you need Shockwave.

Molecules: Structure and Function

• Monosaccharide Browser. Click on a group (like an OH) to change the structure. The list will tell you the name of the new substance)
