AP Chemistry Links

IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of the sites have really wonderful animated structures. To view, download the Netscape 4.8 web browser (tools, browser central, product archives, Versions 4.7X and 4.8, 4.8 english netscape communicator) then download CHIME. Install AFTER you close all web browsers, then select Netscape 4.8 as the web browser directory for CHIME to register. CHIME does not work with Netscape 6 or above, and there is a glitch in Internet Explorer. CHIME is free though you have to register. It is professional software that works on both Mac and PC computers.

  In May 2003, the tables of equations provided at the beginning of the Section II (free-response) exam booklet and on the green insert will be the same as they have been for the past several years. However, starting with the May 2004 exam administration, the equation tables will be reformatted slightly and a few new equations will be added to those already appearing in the tables. The new equations relate to spectrophotometry (Beer's law) and to kinetics (integrated rate-law equations and the Arrhenius equation).

• Chemistry Applets from the Davidson College Chemistry Department are the best. Applets are free-running small programs that, for chemistry, often enable data collection.
