Chemical reactions change arrangements of atoms through breaking and making bonds between atoms

Hydrogen gas mixed with Oxygen gas becomes Water under certain conditions.

Catalysts speed up chemical reactions.

Enzymes are biological catalysts (made by living things). Names of enzymes generally end in "ase" or "yme" example are catalase, amylase, lysozyme

Enzymes do all the work of the cells in our body. Various enzymes digest molecules from food and others make new molecules from the parts.

Amylase is a digestive enzyme.

Amylase breaks down starch into glucose (a sugar).
Starch is a chain of glucose molecules.

Glucose tastes sweet. Starch has no particular taste.
