Be an experimenter for a week! Follow a real inquiry pathway that starts from lab exercise that's in DCPS science textbooks. Learn how to do this during the year in both mathematics and science classes! See how mathematics IS the language of science! Explore together the mathematics and science of enzyme action. Examine factors that affect this biological chemical. Apply mathematics as the everyday language of science. Analyze data. Discover patterns. Experience how mathematics and science naturally connect in real laboratory research that you can do in your own classroom.

Careers: Meet minority scientists in mathematics and science.

Texts

Advanced level biological science texts available online through the digital library of the National Center for Biotechnology Information. Each text is searchable and has many great images, graphs, charts, and diagrams.

Pedagogy: Putting inquiry and experimentation into action in your classroom
