Galilee Ault's voyages: |
[Page 4]
Saved all the instruments but two or three (and these have been recovered today + cleaned up.) Had to get into my room thro' the window. Nothing was wet in it but it was an awful looking sight in that cabin floor on such a slant that no foothold could be obtained at all and half under water. Mr. Peters + Capt. Hayes finally came out at about 7 o'clock. Did not have much to say. Anytime during the previous day they could have brought a couple of tugs out and saved us easily. We went ashore and had some breakfast. I had no socks, no collar, no cuffs. |
